Sew Your Perfect Fit: Dawn Jeans Retreat

Pack your sewing machine and your suitcase - it’s time for a weekend of creativity, connection, and couture! Join us for a relaxed but focused retreat at the beautiful Clyne Farm, where we’ll be working on the Dawn Jeans pattern to create your perfect-fitting pair of handmade jeans.

Friday – Arrival & Welcome
From 4:30 PM


Check in, settle into your cosy accommodation, and meet your fellow sewists over welcome nibbles and a relaxed get-together. Get ready to talk fabric, fit, and all things jeans!

Saturday – Fitting Day
• Breakfast provided
• Dive into sewing with a guided toile-making session
• Learn to tweak and adjust the Dawn Jeans pattern for your perfect fit
• Lunch provided on-site
• Chill out and freshen up for a group dinner at a lovely local restaurant

Sunday – Jeans in Progress
• Breakfast to fuel the creativity
• Cut into your main fabric with confidence and start sewing your custom-fit jeans
• Expert guidance, fun sewing chats, and plenty of tea
• Lunch provided
• Another group dinner out—let's celebrate our progress!

Monday – Fond Farewells
• Breakfast provided
• Depart by 9:30 AM, inspired, accomplished, and with (almost) finished jeans!

• All sewing sessions with expert guidance
• 3 nights of accommodation at beautiful Clyne Farm
• Breakfast & lunch on Saturday, Sunday.
• Group dinners on Saturday and Sunday (restaurant meals, not included in retreat fee). Friday evening meal included.

Full information and zoom meeting will be arranged for August to allow you to be prepared and get to know your sewing buddies.

Sewing Retreat – Standard Terms and Conditions
1. Booking and Payment


1.1. A non-refundable deposit of £100 is taken with each payment to cover the costs of accommodation reservation and initial materials bought.


1.2 Full payment upon booking is required to secure your spot.

2. Cancellations and Refunds


2.1. If you cancel more than 35 days before the retreat, any payments made (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.


2.2. Cancellations within 35 days of the retreat are non-refundable

2.3. In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by the organiser , a full refund will be issued.

3. Accommodation and Meals


3.1. Accommodation is provided as specified in the retreat package.


3.2. All meals/snacks listed in the retreat schedule are included. Dietary requirements must be communicated in advance.


3.3. Guests are responsible for any additional food or drink not included in the package.

4. Activities and Equipment


4.1. A full itinerary of sewing sessions and other activities will be provided.


4.2. Sewing machines and basic supplies will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own tools and projects.


4.3. The organizer is not responsible for personal equipment or belongings.

5. Liability and Insurance


5.1. Participants attend the retreat at their own risk.


5.2. The organiser is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during the retreat

5.3. It is recommended that participants obtain travel insurance covering cancellation, health, and personal belongings.

6. Conduct


6.1. Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward others and the property.


6.2. The organizer reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive or inappropriate, without refund.
7. Force Majeure


7.1. The organizer is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations due to events outside of their control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or travel disruptions.
8. Photography and Media


8.1. Photos and videos may be taken during the retreat and used for promotional purposes.
8.2. If you do not wish to appear in any promotional material, please inform the organizer in writing prior to the event.
